Unlocking the secrets of profitable salon ownership and stylist success through my own experience

Helping salon owners to thrive in business

I want to tell you a story about the struggling salon owner. Probably very similar to your own. You craved a space of your own, to surround yourself with like minded individuals, to have freedom, to create something bigger than yourself. So you set out to find a space, lock in a lease, start buying things, start hiring people…Then, life starts spiraling when you look at your bank account statements. Where did all the money go?

So you pick up more shifts behind the chair. Your friends and family begin to suffer, and heck, you begin to suffer as the burnout sets in.

Sound familiar? Yeah I’ve been there too.

I soon was running a 6 figure business by the age of 28 working behind the chair with an assistant 3 days a week.

The problem with an employee based salon is the multitude of tasks and logistics that you’re constantly keeping tabs on.

I somehow managed to create a structure that kept us profitable from day 1 and we had amazing success our first year, even after opening at the end of 2020.

A story similar to your own

i've been where you are

As the economy underwent a shift, I quickly recognized the need to adapt my business structure to ensure the continued financial stability of my stylists and affordability of services for clients while preserving profit margins. Anticipating changing consumer behaviors at the start of 2022, I proactively sought to stay ahead of trends. Despite initial success with stylists embracing extensions, a decline in consultation forms signaled a shift in client engagement, with inquiries dwindling from at least three per day to merely one every three days.

Conveying the urgency of addressing unseen challenges to my team proved to be one of the most formidable tasks as an employee-based salon owner. Amidst the demands of client appointments, administrative duties, and personal commitments, time is a precious commodity, making it crucial to identify and address underlying issues efficiently.

how i can help

I’ve walked every step of the hairstlyist journey, trained multiple employees and assistants, and have had people shadow me from beauty school students to scaling artists. The thing people aren’t talking about is building strategies and systems in their business that not only create more time freedom, but elevate their results and authority in their area.

Beauty school teaches you the bare minimum, and then it’s almost as if fate decides your success in our industry.

I discovered that the way to elevate my client experience, decrease my service times, and charge rates that led to achieving my lifestyle goals, all came from building systems and structures in my business.

These foundational pillars led me to a six figure business before the ages where we could be youtube doctorates. My theories and methodologies have proven to scale myself and other stylists/salons locally and worldwide, not because of luck, but because of data-driven decisions and software systems that allow us to scale as entrepreneurs.

Using logic, reasoning, and science, I help stylists create profitable service strategies that work for their location, specialty, and demographic.
